7 warning signs of a Roblox scam
- It promises free Robux instantly or “generates” codes.
- It asks for your Roblox password or wants you to log in through a link that isn’t roblox.com.
- It tells you to paste code into your browser console or bookmark bar.
- It makes you complete endless surveys or app downloads before you “unlock” a code.
- It shows a fake live feed of other players “just receiving” Robux.
- Someone in chat or Discord says you won a prize and must pay or log in to claim it.
- The web address is misspelled, like “robIox” or “roblox-free-codes.xyz”.
How real Roblox codes work
Real promo codes come from Roblox events and official partners and are announced publicly. Real gift cards are bought from stores or official digital sellers. Neither can be “generated” — every valid code is created by Roblox.
On RobuxTask, every reward code is a genuine code we add by hand. When codes run out, we show “Restocking soon” — we never show fake codes to keep you clicking.
How to protect your account
- Turn on 2-Step Verification in Roblox settings.
- Only type your password on roblox.com.
- Never share your password, your login cookie or a verification code — not even with friends.
- Use the Report Abuse button on anyone offering free Robux.
Questions
Are free Robux generators real?
No. Robux can only come from Roblox itself — by buying Robux or Premium, redeeming a gift card, or selling items and game passes. Every “generator” is a scam.
What do Robux scam sites want?
Usually your Roblox password or login cookie so they can take your account and items, or for you to fill in surveys and app installs that earn them money while you get nothing.
What should I do if I entered my password on a scam site?
Change your Roblox password immediately, turn on 2-Step Verification, log out of all other sessions in Roblox settings, and tell a parent or guardian.
